2003 Honda S2000 | ||
Summary | ||
Okay... obviously I can't afford a Formula One racecar, so I went for the next best thing: the Honda
S2000. All in all, the S2000 is amazing. There are a lot of cars that will come out ahead of the S2000 at your local drag strip. But put these same cars on a road course, or autocross course, and the outcome might be a little different. It's no Formula One racecar, but for the price, I can't think of a better performance value than the Honda S2000. |

Talladega Gran Prix June 7, 2003 6.85 Mb |
This is some in-car video from my first road course event in the S2000. This event was at the Talladega Gran Prix in Anniston, Alabama. It was hosted by PreludeOnline.com, and was part of their first National Meet, which was a 3-day event from June 6-8, 2003. I think most everyone had a great time, and I know that I really enjoyed this track. It was a very easy track, which was perfect for beginners (or in my case, for people still learning their car).
S2000 Autocross May 10, 2003 6.90 Mb |
This is some in-car video from my 2nd autocross in the S2000. This was my fastest run of the day, even though I did have one ugly drift through one of the gates. I tried to attenuate most of the wind noise, but some of it is still pretty annoying... so mind your volume levels. Sorry about the large file size, but if I compressed it any more, the cones are hard to see and look like dark blobs.
BMW Autocross May 4, 2003 3.67 Mb |
I just threw this video together as a sample. Thanks to Dad for filming. And thanks to Harold and (in this clip) Tina for riding along. Also, thanks to Mom, Caitlynn and Calvin for cheering me on! The sound quality was really bad, because it was windy, so I just dubbed in the first audio clip I could find. Worked out pretty well, actually. By the way, I put this clip together using the free "Windows Movie Maker", so it isn't very fancy... but I'm getting some new video editing software soon, so expect to see some more interesting videos! |
